There was a time when people who needed silence and nature and solitude and to live a life less interrupted could leave society at large and go claim a place in the wild.  Settle a new land.  Live quietly, work hard.  No billboards, no newscasts, no surveys, no clanging, banging, or honking.  Just weather to contend with.  And wildlife.  And maybe loneliness.  Uncertainty and hardship, no doubt.  But also serenity.

Other people fantasize about sports cars and electronic gadgets and oodles of money.  I fantasize about quiet and simplicity and nature.  Hopefully this pretty little landscape will bring a quiet bit of nature to the home or office of some other secret pioneers out there.  :)
